Abstract

Changes in the modern-era curriculum require both learners and educators to adapt to new approaches that are more complex, creative, and dynamic. Amid these demands, emotional aspects—particularly joy—play a key role in enhancing intrinsic motivation, learning resilience, and psychological well-being. This article examines the role of joy in the learning process based on perspectives from positive psychology and motivation, and offers practical strategies for creating a joyful learning environment amid the challenges of the Merdeka Curriculum
